The Council of Imams from different mosques in Minnesota have agreed upon that Eid Al-Adha will be on Wednesday December 19th, 2007 / Thul-Hijjah 10, 1428 . We wish a pleasant Eid Mubarak to all of you wherever you may be, Kulu 'Amin wantum bikheyr. Eid Al-Adha is the second major Islamic Holiday remarking the willingness sacrifice of Ismail by Abraham (Ibrahim) for the sake of Allah, peace be upon all of them.

The wellbeing of civilization rests upon the realms of family. The foundation of family is marriage. In Islam, marriage is a lawful agreement and a revered act. Establishing strong families was the practice of all the prophets from Adam to Prophet Muhammad, peace be to all. From these families emerged different nations and tribes with diverse features, opinions, ideas, norms, etc. Thus, this requires attaining an accurate knowledge from the sources of Islam to establish a stable family.

Therefore, DYC & SSU are pleased to cordially invite you to an event that is packed with vast knowledge to give you a clear picture of what marriage in Islam is.  Our main topics will create a better understanding in the Steps Towards Marriage, What makes Marriage an easy or difficult one, the Pleasures of Marriage, and many more to create a debate that you will never forget!

The Council of Imams from different mosques in Minnesota have agreed upon that Friday October 12th, 2007 will be the first day of Shuwal. We wish a pleasant Eid Mubarak to all of you wherever you may be, Kulu 'Amin wantum bikheyr. Eid Al-Fitr is one of the major Islamic Holiday remarking the end of Ramadan.

Eid prayer will be held at the mosque and Bryan Coyle Community Center in Mpls, MN, insha-Allah.

A night most likely to be Layl Al-Qadr(Night of Power) as agreed various scholars. It is a night that is equivalent to good deeds that are better than 83 years and 4 months. Thus, we invite the community members, especially the youth, to congregate at the mosque for the entire night and engage in a spiritual awakening journey.

Welcoming the Blessed Month of Ramadan

Ramadan for 2007 is either on September 12th or 13th. Thus, Dar Al-Hijrah is hosting an event to welcome the month of Ramadan; to know its meaning, principles, and history. This lecture is for young Muslim students; however, both young and old are welcome to celebrate the upcoming blessed month. Refreshements are provided for the audience!

Opening the Door to Our Differences
Living Together while Respecting Our Differences

This event will be entirely for the youth in middle schools to colleges, and univeristies. It will be led by an intellectual professor and panell of college students. The event will be held atMasjid Dar Al-Hijrah. Signs will be provided to direct the audience for which floor the event would be used. Please invite your sisters, brothers, cousins, classmates, friends, and peers to the event. Engaging programs and entertainments will feature at the event, including talent show, competition face-up, poetry, annashed, Q&A, and more. Note: Refreshments will be provided.
