Long Term Vision

DYCpursues the methodologies and agenda of Islam to nurture young Muslim minds to follow the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The youths of the Islamic civilization have been and will always be the forerunners of this religion. Programs conducted by DYC aim at providing well defined sources to engage Muslim youths in activities that remind and take actions to present the image of Islam through youth’ unification and belief. The Quran in essence is dikr (remembrance) of God through events such as praying, fasting, giving alms, and much more. DYC provides activities that will bring them into remembrance of their God.

Thus, to enjoy good and forbid evil, to be mindful and active, to learn and share, to establish brother/sisterhood logic, to implement creativity mind, and much more are the essence of these programs that we offer for the Muslim youths at the center. As a consequence, when these youths become the next imams, sheikhs, scholars, teachers, doctors, politicians, architects, engineers, etc. they have the efficient background of Islam and can pass the legacy of Islam in such noble way as it was preached and taught by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

These programs do not only aim at merely teaching the Islamic comprehension, but also to bring awareness as to how to survive in this life by acquiring knowledge through education, to excel in socializing with others, to organize and contribute, and much more to obtain a good life. DYC finds youths’ intellectual capacity to always increasing and, thus, needs awakening. The word education in Latin means to pull or take out something, educare. God says in the Quran “Taught man what he knew not.” Thus, DYC’s series of programs endeavor at “taking out” what is already in every Muslim youth to expose their relevance in this life and hereafter.

In addition, the halaqa imparts the notion of mutual understanding and sharing our ideas. This should result an environment of brother/sisterhood and understanding.
